I found out last week that my cousin from the states is in Sweden right now and on Sunday she and my aunt will fly up to my city to visit our grandparents over the day. Last time I saw her she was 7, now she's a college graduate so it's been a really long time. I talked to grandma yesterday and she was mad none of my family can come and say hi, especially mom since it's her niece. I don't always see eye to eye with my mom, but changing workdays on a weekend within a weeks notice is nearly impossible in retail as it is, add easter to the mix and it would be easier to walk on water. Grandma doesn't understand this and it felt like listening to a broken record at the end. Had we gotten the news earlier we might have made it, but not as it is now and mom is sad as it is without grandma picking her apart . I work to six pm tomorrow, the taxi pick them up at 7 to go back to the airport.. If I bike like crazy I might be able to get to see her for ten minutes.. in my sweaty work clothes. Great first impression after 14 years or what it is .

I have another lol... The other day I noticed a tiny little bug had squeezed into my iPad and was crawling around under the screen, tonight I noticed it is dead... This happened with an old laptop too, why do insects die inside my tech? *protectively shields phone*

My worst nightmare. Hate dead bugs. Found one in my Raya doll's hair the other day and literally threw her across the bathroom and left her till someone came home to remove it.

I am fed up with living in a country that either can't make up its mind what to call itself or other people can't make up their mind how to label it.

After scrolling through country options looking for United Kingdom, then Great Britain, and then down to England too many times to count, it's annoying. I wish websites would pick one and stick to it. (And yes I do know all of the above are different geographical boundaries, but since where I live qualifies to be in all three of the above, I would really like it if they were a bit more universal)

Just contact all the websites and tell them you're renaming it "The Land of Dragons."  Or something short...like "Bob".

Yes! I live in Bobland ;)

Actually, the land of dragons might be more accurate, given that the Welsh use a dragon still on their flag, and there are ancient stories about the fighting of the white and the red dragons over our land in the past...

Please send it my way! I'm graduating from this college without having ever gotten to see the campus with any snow and I'm sad.

It basically turned straight from winter to summer where I live! It went from 50-60 degrees to 80 degrees in a couple of days. Eek!

When I mentioned that something at work had been done incorrectly and would need to be redone, one of my co-workers asked, "Why would you need to redo it?  It looks fine."

Uh...because it isn't done RIGHT????  :duh:

I seriously don't understand why people where I live feel that doing everything half-baked and then going back to do it again four or five times before it is right is okay.  I was not born or raised here so that might be why I don't understand.  Apparently doing something right the first time is a sin and I'm going to hell for even suggesting something so outrageous.

There's another end of the world theory on the horizon?! Kinda makes me wonder if these people ever thought to stop and enjoy their lives for a bit, instead of working out precisely how they're going to be cut short by rogue planets or ancient predictions.
