I just love sitting outside, doing nothing and sweating to death. It's great! Like a free sauna. (this is sarcasm)

I used to spend quite a bit of time outside, enjoying nature. Living in Florida sure has killed that part of me. Unless I'm actively IN the ocean, I'd rather be inside a dark room.

...I made a new page again!  >_<

Had a bit of a composite filling pop off, I am fine it was just $175.00 to fix and replace the rest of it. At least i had a health savings account to pay for it.

American dental prices never fail to terrify me. I think that £40 for a filling is expensive ><

So my Uni job site was messed up this past week. It kept telling me I couldn't apply.
I complain.
HR ignore me for a week then tell me how to apply for a job like I'm an idiot.
The admin at my uni often talk to me like I'm stupid because I'm autistic. I am really sick of it.
I complain to disability office.
Disability office phone HR.
Suddenly the thing I asked for a week ago gets done IN TEN MINUTES.

Literally a half hour later my job application is done.

Imagine how much time and stress would have been saved if they just listened to what I said originally and did something based on what I told them, rather than needing someone else to phone & tell them that my problem was not because I'm stupid and disabled, but because their system was broken.

So annoying.

So so annoying.

BUT at least the application got done.

Now I am trying to figure out what to do with next year's accommodation, given that I'm still waiting for a tribunal date over my disability benefit, don't know if I have any chance at any funding, and have nowhere in London to live after the end of August.

Oh yeah. And I've a thesis draft to write too.

Went to a few yard sales one listed as having "Vintage toys" turned out to be 7 year old fast food toys worth nothing, the only vintage anything was a transformers knock off. PLEASE BE HONEST IN YOUR ADDS.  :enraged: :enraged:

Nothing ticks me off more than lying about things at your yard sale. On a good note I fond a hardcover for nightmares and dreamscapes for a quarter.

Had a donor chew me out today over the most absurd thing: 4 years ago, Couple A made a check out to our shelter in memory of Couple B's dog and gave the check to Couple B to give to our shelter. Couple B gave us the check a couple months after it was written. We publish memorials in our quarterly newsletters. In the time between when the check was written and when it was received by our organization, our quarterly memorials had been submitted to be published, so recognition would simply go in the next quarter's newsletter. The wife in Couple A was ticked off that her memorial was not listed, and my boss explained to her about how we didn't receive the donation until after the newsletter had been submitted, and it would therefore be in the next one (but she could have figured this out herself by comparing the date of deposit with the memorials' dates in the newsletter's heading).

Fast forward to this year, the husband of Couple A submits his credit card info through the mail for another memorial. There was no name listed on the outside of the envelope, and only his name (and that of the person who the memorial is for) was listed on the inside. So now the wife is ticked that only his name was listed as the donor instead of both their names, even though hers was not listed anywhere on or in the donation envelope.

So she publicly chewed me out and blamed me for both instances. Then her husband snaps at me, "Next we make a donation, we want it recognized with both names listed. You got that? It's not difficult!"

I never understood that kind of attitude. Shouldn't the important thing be the donation, not getting pats on the back for it? Sheesh!

Going to the flea market and having a vendor refuse to sell me the toy horses she had for sale.

Same day another person puts away ponies just as I'm going to buy them.  :pout:

Oh, I had that happen once when I was a little boy, probably like 8 years old. I was at a yard sale and found this vinyl unicorn. I was walking around with it in my hand looking at other items. Suddenly, the man running the sale came over to me, took the unicorn out of my hand, and told me it had already been sold. Then he put it right back with all the other toys that were for sale.

I assume in my case he just didn't want to sell a unicorn to a boy. Did either of these sellers say anything to you?

I understand the feeling, the same thing has happened to me a few times before and it was very frustrating. When you're not feeling that great, the last thing you need is to lose out on a nice treat.
