I have to be at work at 7:45 am because of a mandatory firedrill. That will take aprox 15 minutes, half an hour at most. Then I will sit there with nothing to do until we open at 10am. At least I'll get paid while being there.

I wish the weather would make up its mind if it wants to be sunny or not.

Ambiguously cloudy is not helpful.

Yes, this is very relatable! It's been really indecisive today - raining at first, then sunny, then overcast and windy, now it's attempting to let loose the sun again... and now it's cloudy again, within a matter of seconds. I do not have the patience for these meteorological shenanigans.

If my doctor didn't know the difference between aspirin and ibuprofen I would run away!  I certainly wouldn't trust them with something hard!

I did run, I will never see this doctor ever again. Next time my own doctor can't see me, I'll wait!

Yep, gotta love it in all it's... er.. 'glory'. I'm glad of the longer days but a bit more sunshine to go with them would be a treat.

Yep. Today it's (torrential) rain. I have a few things I need to buy. I can handle general rain, but NO WAY I am going out in that. Working all day tomorrow invigilating exams so I guess I will just have to go without those things for a few more days.

Had an incident 2 weeks ago at a restaurant where I bit into something + broke a tiny bit of (molar) tooth.

Went to dentist who discovered that another tooth was in very bad shape too - I had been getting pain after eating hot or cold foods - after she attended to it (drilled out cavity close to the nerve, infilled the rest) my face/jaw hurt for days, I could not chew hard food and made do with protein shakes for most of my nutrition.

Tomorrow I am to see the dentist - there is still a wee bit of pain - looks like I am gonna have root canal and a crown. I hope our insurance covers it otherwise ££££££ ouch!  >_<

This is why NHS dentist.

Seriously.

If I had to do private dental anything I would have had to ebay my soul already. My teeth are literally full of impurities and thus horrible.

I'm invigilating all day tomorrow. Which is fine and it's money but it means fighting the morning trains again and playing the lottery of which signalling isn't working today...

Basically there's always a problem on ONE line. And you just hope it isn't yours...

Dentist update: no root canal, for now, she wants to see how the nerve settles down as I still have a tiny bit of nerve pain. She will start work on my other tooth next week  :bolt: husband has family dental insurance as part of a work perk, otherwise it would be NHS, however going private has the advantage of being treated in a shorter time-frame (plus only being 10 minutes walk away from my house).

Today: all I wanted to buy were 3 little packets of Cadburys Buttons for the kids I was looking after today - all that Sainsburys had was the mega bags (huh, try sharing 1 bag of chocolate between 3 young, ravenous kids!!  :freak: :scared:

I bought 2 books yesterday and still need 2 books to complete the series I’m working. Out of the 4 books I needed 1 was out of stock. So I bought the next 2 books in the series. Today not only did I find out that the missing volume was in stock but that the store sent out coupons and I didn’t get one even though I’m a loyal customer.

Get up early to do laundry.

Get all the way downstairs with laundry to find laundry room closed with an out of order notice.

Out of order notice says 'service will resume on 8th May'.

It's the 10th May and there are still no working washing machines.

And at the very least this is the kind of thing you send in a mass email to residents, not wait for them to lug laundry all around the building first...

I bought a new external hard drive to replace my two old brick size ones from the early 2000s that need power from a wallsocket to work.. and while transferring all the files I noticed that every picture from 2014 to 2017 are missing, including those from my trip to the Azores. I've been going through my computer and every file and can't find them. I am devastated.
