  Excited I completely forgot to mention what butterflies are in the pictures (if someone doesn’t recognize them)!
The first picture shows Mourning Cloak and the last two show Admirals. 


The storm is approaching and I rejoice! It has already started to wind. 
Sure, I am a little tense too, but you would think everything would stay in order as I have collected all the potted plants and decorations from the yard for shelter. Old birches worry me a little, but I guess they will survive this too. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

The admirals are such pretty butterflies I don't think I;ve ever seen the other. Maybe they aren't over here. We definitely get red admirals - they love the apples that fall off the tree early. But they're mostly on my buddleia, though not so much this year as in previous.

I have some really cute pictures of a bee on my phone, covered in pollen. I'll have to try and get it off there and share it. I also have some really cute ones of the young moorhens.

Actually had the time & inclination to put some makeup on this morning - it has been quite a while - it was nice to see my eyebrows looking defined for a change! 

Trip to Ikea - things almost back to normal, even the restaurant is fully open (but too crowded for us to feel comfortable to dine therein) bought some hooks and little hanging storage tubs... and some colour-changing LED light strips for the kid's room!

Built a new bunk bed earlier this week for my kid, she is having fun turning the lower bunk into a gaming den  while I am having fun decorating it with funky bedding & fairy lights!

My classes start today for college. I'm glad to be able to start on the road to my new career!

Fall is getting closer. It's actually been a mild summer here in central texas. which is weird but good because i HATE hot weather. but i love fall.

I planted milkweed in the spring to try and attract monarch butterflies.  Yesterday, I saw six monarch caterpillars and I think one is planning on making a cocoon.    My plan for a butterfly army to conquer the world with is coming along nicely.
