My part in a huge project at work concluded today.  I'm so relieved!  It was keeping me extra busy, and while it was a fun project, it had a hard deadline.  Knowing that I met that deadline, and the rest of the project will also, is really pleasing.

Today's initial smile was generated by my sealed copy of Lord of the Rings Online : Mines of Moria/Complete edition sold on eBay for $20.

I finally bought a smartphone! I played with the voice search feature a bit, took a few pictures, watched a few YouTube videos, checked out some of the functionalities, and then I put it back in the box for now and continued using my old nokia asha

Was feeling extra sad and lonely last night, so I took myself to the toy store to cheer up. I got two Sonic toys I'd previously convinced myself I didn't need.

I feel like I shouldn't be relying so much on material items to self-soothe, but I'm also REALLY stinkin' excited about my new toys.

We got the new umbrella set up on the deck today, comes with lights on it and it's a nice touch

The most amazing thing happened today.  I finally met one of my online friends in real life.         We had a great time together.  She told me today that she had been planning on meeting me since she found out that I only live a few hours away from her family but she hadn't been able to work it out until this trip. 

We exchanged phone numbers last night and she met my family.  She told me that she will call me next time she visits her family and we will do lunch again.


Also, I've had the free version of an app on my phone for a while.  I don't usually pay for apps although I will sometimes if it's an app that I really like I will.  I had been thinking about getting the paid version for a long time and finally decided to do it.  The main feature behind the pay wall is being able to create puzzles from photos on your phone.  I'm having a lot of fun making puzzles out of screencaps from my favorite amines.

I visited my brother in the village on Sunday evening. His girlfriend had baked delicious pastries and made ice cream himself. Yummy!

The weather forecast said there would be thunderstorms all day which I wasn't happy about since I wouldn't be able to work in peace, but the sky was completely clear!

I have been chomping at the bit to get out of our current house. A house 2 or 3 doors down from us has been on the market for the past month, and it ended up selling for almost $70,000 more than we bought ours for 2 years ago! It is a similarity sized property to ours, but very dated-looking. I told my husband and he said I could contact a realtor about what it would take to put ours on the market. Maybe there's a light at the end of this tunnel after all.
