Just learned that one is my best friends is having baby number 2!  She tried so hard for 4 years for the first, but this one came as a surprise

Aww what a wonderful surprise!!

So my (private) dentist emailed me on the weekend to say that they are re-opening this week, I sent off a reply saying I had a broken filling (since lockdown) and had my appointment booked for this morning!

Social distancing meant only 1 patient in the building (the rest waited in their cars if they were too early) and I wore my mask until told otherwise. My dentist said that Germany were told to keep their dentists open - is this true? - so the UK dentists were very frustrated at being told to stay closed!

I am back home with a new filling and can now chew on BOTH sides of my mouth again!! 
Yay!!

I found a non-alcoholic stout today that is actually really good! At last! The couple of others that I've tried so far didn't really hit the mark - one was nice and fruity but bizarrely tasted like a cross between wine and beer, the other was just plain watery and didn't taste of anything, so I'm very pleased with my most recent discovery. Now I can have a nice, rich, smokey glass of stout without feeling really ill afterwards!

Recently gotten into scratchboard art again and how well received my scratchboard art has been in most places is making me happy^^

Miserable, grey weather; went to look in our garage fridge (our lockdown larder for extra storage!) and YAY I found a Chinese duck pancake kit!

Just had our late, DELICIOUS lunch, along with shredded veggies grown by my uncle.

Scrumptious!

Now need to think about what our evening meal should be...

I have been rewatching Jem.  Years ago I bought some CDs that someone had made of Jem and Misfit songs.  While rewatching there were a couple of songs that I wished I had on my iTunes but then I remembered the CDS and that I added the songs to my computer. I found 2 of the songs I wanted to add.

A few things made me smile today:
First was in town, there was a jackdaw foraging and upon seeing it, a little girl got really excited and said "Aww, look at that birdie! Hello birdie!" It was a very heart-warming moment.
Also found out that my local library reopens on Monday!
Upon getting home from town, I cooked a nice, simple lunch for me and my dad - fish with hash browns and mixed veg! Yums!
And I finally have a copy of Sagas of the Icelanders to read. It only took 10 years to get round to seeking it out! Figured it'd be a change of pace from all the Buddhist books I've been reading recently.

My sister is still working from home but she did an experiment this morning to see how successful working with a mask would be.

She wears glasses to use the computer.

She sent me a selfie and her wearing the mask had completely fogged up her glasses.

Her comment simply, "it was not a success."

...Jokes of our times.

We have an old doe that has lived on our driveway for... ever, it seems. Each year she raises a set of twin fawns. I hadn't seen her all year, but yesterday evening I took a walk and guess who I saw? Sure enough, she had two little babies with her.    They're just now losing their spots.

I was surprised to win an auction recently and today ponymail arrived - a gorgeous G1 Honeycomb in such good condition, too! So pleased with her... she is now off to join my little Honeycomb army..

I have also made some progress with crochet, managed do a chain stitch without the yarn falling off the hook! At last!

Today has been a generally cruddy day, but my friend got out of hospital after 3 months of physio after she slipped and really damaged her knee. Now she just has two weeks of isolation and then I can finally see her again!

I'm writing a story & am positively amazed at how well everything is fitting, for example one of my three Gods is the God of the Sky & the Mind, so all His gifts can be learned & studied. Sky-fire is lightning, which is electricity... & that's just one thing in the whole story.

Apart from that, Kittywinks made me smile, as do all you lot on here xxx
