I finally left the house for the first time in a week or two, it's nice to breathe in some fresh air again (through a face mask, but still), althought it's kind of eerie to realize that spring had come some time ago and I didn't even notice

This is my favourite time of the year.

The garden is looking really pretty. My room is also currently floral scented as the nemesia wintering over on my windowsill is flowering like mad right now and it is very perfumed.

It's been a generally beautiful April in the UK so far. And despite all the bad stuff going on, I've really valued having the time to spend properly on my garden and sorting it out. I've been able to do stuff to existing plants to make them better off, and planted some new ones, and today I discovered that the plant growing in the middle of my garden is actually the gentian I bought some years ago, completely forgot about...until it started flowering today.

It's so pretty with the other flowers around it, which are also, conveniently, blue and white.

And our lawn is full of forgetmenots. Dad hates this, but I love them <3.

My hemp hand cream finally arrived! I've had a lot of trouble with moisturisers over the past year or so; it used to be the case that I could put pretty much anything on my hands with no trouble but recently, my skin has become really fussy and sensitive, so I have to be far more careful what I use. Fortunately, the hemp cream is safe with regard to whatever mystery ingredient it is that's been causing problems, so I can moisturise my hands without having irritated skin. Ah, the simple things...

I've been making bread for the first time in like three years.. and I did not die of exhaustion. I did not spend the next day sleeping off (only a couple of hours). I have missed it so much! *munches on freshly baked bread*
