Popped to the shops today and used a trolley key to release my trolley (cart) without having to find a coin.

After taking my goods to my car, a man came up to me, holding a coin and asked me to let him have the empty trolley - I told him it was "free" and OMG

I thought that he was going to hug me

- he was so tickled that I'd used a key and he ran over to his family, overjoyed at his "free" trolley!

It was so cute!

After having nothing but fog and clouds for nearly two months straight, we're finally having sunny weather.

It's pretty weak sunlight, but... it's better than nothing, I guess.

I had to send in to Nintendo to be repaired but got it back today.

Last November I lost my Madagascan Dragon Tree, a houseplant that originally came from my former place of work and which I rescued eight or nine years ago when the place closed down. For various reasons relating to the workplace, his name was Nathaniel and I was very fond of him. But last November he passed away of old age. We estimate his age was somewhere between 25 and 30, and he had had a rough time before I rescued him.

It's my birthday at the end of this month. Today, as an early birthday surprise, my parents presented me with a baby dragon tree. As I just finished reading War and Peace ~~for the lulz~~, the new tree has been christened 'Nikolai'. He's so tiny, only about a foot high (Nathaniel was well over six feet tall), and has the same red edged leaf as Nathaniel did.

They say you shouldn't give pets for birthdays and you should not. But plants are okay and I love them probably more than I would most animals anyway. (Cats excepted).

Yes, I am plant mad. No, I don't care.

We had our first snow storm in so many years. Not a major snow storm, but compared to the really tiny amounts of snow we've got in the last nine years it is significant. We used to have storms like this every year.

I got the next books I wanted in 2 series today.

Hopefully I will have time to read. 1 this weekend. Also the other day I went out to eat and accidentally left something behind at the restaurant. I went back today and the restaurant still had my item.

I rearranged some of my manga today so all the volumes of one series fit on one shelf instead of being split between 2 shelves.

I had the day off today for my internet to be set up at my new flat, turns out the engineer didn't need to come round, so I had the whole day to just relax, enjoy my new digs and drink copious amounts of tea.

Ever since two of the security guards at work stopped to say hi, how you doing and I told them how much I appreciate everything they're doing for us there, I always get a big smile and a short chat from them whenever they see me and that happened today so yeah. Making friends with the security guards like that makes me smile. Oh and also, since my arm is killing me from the flu shot I got today, my husband stopped at Rally's on his way home so I wouldn't have to worry about dinner because he's sweet and loving like that.

I had the honour of working on the mlp: solidarity animation project earlier this year. It was a lot of fun, and everybody worked incredibly hard on it. Littleshyfim just released the top 25 pony videos of 2019, (found here if your interested in seeing all the amazing works: https://youtu.be/evATr_0TAkY) and guess what got sixth? We did! I’m so happy that our work got us to such a Hugh position on the list, and now I just can’t stop smiling! It was my first collaborative project on this scale, and here we are...golly I’m just so proud of everybody!

I finally worked up the courage to get my driver's license! I passed!

In celebration, Mom and I bought ice cream... and my first pony purchase in literally two years. Basic Fun Tickle. <3
