Someone on DeviantArt has asked for an art request. I don’t have the confidence to charge for my work yet, and I probably won’t for some time yet. But the idea that someone out there thought my work was good enough to ask for me to make more is a wonderful idea indeed. Gives me the warm fuzzies! And they even sent me links to the assets I’d need to make the pictures! More warm fuzzies! And I’m still riding off last weeks dnd session adrenaline high!

That is some very nice moments, I agree!


The nurse I talked to at the health care center friday remembered me! and called me and left a message on my voicemail to let me know I had gotten an appointment in just a few weeks. This weeklong circus is finally at an end! I mean, it is weird that this makes me smile, but I've been overlooked and forgotten so often so this seems like a miracle.

School begins tomorrow, my kid's stuff is all ready: new uniform, PE kit, book bag, new lunch box, new shoes, all labelled.

I recall that when I was little, my parents were always in a mad panic the night before, I must say that there were not very organised when it came to preparing my school stuff!

Feeling satisfied that all is ready to rock'n'roll, which obviously means that I must have forgotten something!

Trip to the toy fair this morning. Found a couple of G3 I didn't have, including Guava Lava who I have seen there before but in bad shape - this one was nice.

Trains behaved themselves.

Nice enough to walk part way home.

Cake at home.

Who knew repairing phones could be so much fun? Who knew the customer base would be so large we would have to turn people down? Yesterday we took our budget for the first time in months! It feels like crafting during workhours and I get to sit down! I've been repairing screens and changed batteries all week and nothing has exploded yet!

What made me smile today was an exhibition at the Silk Museum; it was a mixture of work by Charles Tunnicliffe and crafts made by local artists - so many beautiful things to see! The museum itself is a lovely old building as well. There's a really ornate stairwell in the entrance; marble pillars, wrought iron balustrades, the whole nine yards, all with glorious sunshine coming through some striking arch windows. It's a really nice place to unwind for a bit.

Mexican FOOOOOOD! I found out about a Mexican culture event in Tokyo and by gosh I am determined to get some food. I haven't had mexican since last christmas! Whee, eats!

We're getting our new bed today! And it looks like our old one is getting away from here today as well. People are almost fighting over it over at Marketplace.

Also, Flickr gave me my account back despite me not being able to provide all the things they wanted. I am happy!
