Sitting here eating breakfast. I look up and wonder why there is a horse in my neighbor’s back yard. It’s a deer, eating from their bird feeders!

That is too cute. Deer are mischievous :D

Sat in my lounge, I can hear what sounds like an angry duck quacking outside.

There is a lake a road away from me, how lost can an angry duck get?

Made me giggle, though  :P

My first year students today.

Today was my last tutorial with this group, and we were having an essay brainstorming session which worked out much better than I anticipated.

They are so funny though. It's just dawned on them that there's basically just revision sessions at the start of next term between them and final exams.

So my OTHER first year class today decided that Australia must be in Europe, based on the logic that it appears in Eurovision.

We were discussing how we classify regions of the world, and I challenged them to figure out where Israel and Russia fitted in, and that was their ultimate conclusion. They're in Eurovision, thus Europe. Which means Australia is in Europe too.

Case closed :)

Yeah, it was the last day of term...

I went for a walk this morning too!

Walks for me are always interesting since I can't plan or remember routes and have no sense of direction or orientation, so when I want to go walking somewhere it pretty much has to be following a bus route so I don't get stranded. But here there are lots of bus routes :D And I want to get out and walk more now the weather is getting better and while I live in an area where I can go walking safely on my own without risk of being properly stranded.

Although me being true to form, I ended up accidentally getting from one bus route onto another (I still don't know how) and walking a completely different way to the same intended final destination. But I got there so I felt accomplished, even with my detour!

Lots of cherry blossoms out today too :D I love them so much. Yay for spring!

A gorgeous, sunny day here too - so we visited Henley for a walk-about and afternoon tea.
No tablets or devices taken either, so a good day out for my kid especially!

When I called my insurance to ask about the status of them covering a prescription, the person offered to call the pharmacy and doctor's office for me. I'm deaf so talking to multiple people in multiple phone conversations stresses me out. Thanks, insurance. Totally sweet and totally unexpected.

I watched "Angels in the Outfield" today and realized that Matthew McConaughey is one of the baseball players.  I like being able to find "big" actors in their older/smaller roles that nobody remembers.
