A friend gave me a gift card to Barnes and Noble. They are having several sales right now including a Buy 2 get 1 free manga sale. With my giftcard and the sale I was able to get $30 of book for less than $7

I found a pic of my first ever custom from a year ago and couldn't help but smile at how far I've come ♥ I might make a post about my progress!

I've got the week off work for my birthday! I was going to go into work because noone would be in to mind the place otherwise, but my manager said he's happy to close up the factory and handle orders and such remotely. Woohoo! :frolic:
(Probably just as well, I was handling the factory on my own yesterday and ugh, the phone! My speciality is wiring complex control boxes, I can't handle phone calls!!!)

I got up from bed this morning and one of the cats came up to me and made me follow him to the kitchen, not to give him food but to feed him grass. I think it's so cute, instead of biting it off himself he prefer to have me taking of the entire stalk from the bottom and give it to him, so I began my day by sitting on the floor feeding my cat grass stalk by stalk. It warmed my heart.

After a very annoying day of work (see triv. complaints), I actually got to the station in time to catch the earlier train for once. Normally I finish at 5ish and get home by half six, because I miss the early train and the later train usually leaves a few minutes late/gets caught up in delays. But today I was on my home platform at five to six. :D I live about 5 mins from the station so all in all my trip home took an hour instead of an hour and a half.

I had to go to Sainsburys after work and the most amazing song was on; I can't remember the lyrics verbatim but the general jist was that a woman was encouraging everyone to shake their booty because there's so much beauty in the world. Gotta be honest, I'm liking that message!

My workmate and I said goodbye at the end of my shift today. She gave me the warmest and truest smile ive seen for a long time, hugged me really tight and said 'take care when you go home dear, its so misty outside today'. (First person in month that ever took notice of how I go home; im the only one going by bike and I do no matter what weather... unless theres a meter of snow or two of course XD)
Warmed my heart... I smiled the whole way home.

Oooh and : I had two egg yolks in one egg today :P Cool thing!

I overheard a snatch of conversation earlier, a couple of guys going "I was just saying what a beautiful evening it is"
"Yeah, it's really nice tonight."
Which might not seem significant, but it's genuinely refreshing to hear a civilised conversation going on, rather than the usual soundtrack to Macclesfield, which is drunk people threatening to knock the living daylights out of each other, or screaming chavs.
