Playing Pokemon Moon. Yeah, a silly thing, but I haven't enjoyed Pokemon raising in a while.

Watching my husband and kid together, happily building a huge Lego project, Christmas music on, while I sip my cup of tea!

A sparrow at work whom I thought was deaf, was actually taking notes on how I whistle, and now mimics me perfectly. I find it kinda endearing in a sweet sort of way.

Sat at the bus stop yesterday I heard pretty chirping birdsong - looking closely I saw a tiny Jenny Wren hopping + whistling in a bush - notoriously very shy birds, it was a delight to watch and listen!

There's ski sports on TV! I'm usually not much of a sports person, but I make an exception for skiing. In my book, this means Christmas is coming

My store manager telling my workmate and me today : "You wont believe me, how glad I am to have you here!" ... <3 I had no idea how good it feels to hear something like that!

Came to work today and by the register I found a note my boss had skribbled down as a reminder to himself. If I interpret it correctly, it means the guy I am covering for while he is studying is gonna start an internship and has resigned from work from december 1st. This would mean I get to stay after my contract is up in January.. It was such a scary leap to go from a steady job to a six month contract, but it seems like it pays off . Gonna ask boss tomorrow if it's true just to be sure.

After school today, I joined another mum and her kids (along with mine) for a trip somewhere new - a garden centre that I did not know existed.

Oh wow, they had all their beautiful Christmas displays up - the various trees were AMAZING, reminded me of the type of trees that you see on movies! 

The kids were thrilled and jumped around screaming their delight at such wondrous, festive decor! As it was quite late, there were hardly any other customers around so we had the place to ourselves. Everyone was having fun...

then...

my daughter's front baby-tooth fell out (while she was eating a jam scone in the cafe) she was so pleased with herself! 

Looks like the tooth fairy is making a visit tonight...

I made an A on my piano exam!

My last exam did not go quite as well, and it was really frustrating to me because I did practice quite hard for it. However, this time I learned how I was practicing it wrong and did it right and it paid off!

I also have a 90 in the class, so I will hopefully be able to come out of the class with an A.

Now I have a chamber rehearsal sometime early in the afternoon and then I'll be on Thanksgiving break.

Today has (so far) been a good day for me for all sorts of reasons - friendly chats in shops with cashiers, meeting old friends, conquering a fear... just one of those days, can't really put my finger on it!

An old friend from work stopped by the office today.  I hadn't seen him in 12 years and it was a nice surprise!

The fact that it's December, the fact that my whole class is as excited for Christmas as I am, the frost in the grass, the dry, ice-free ground, decorating my room, playing my new ukulele... Absolutely everything has been great today
