After about 7 years, my only sister on my dad's side moved back to town. I got to see her and her husband for the first time in quite awhile today!

I had an email from my uncle He's my father's brother and my only blood uncle since my mother has no siblings.

I'd emailed him to thank him for my christmas present, and was talking about some of the stuff over the course of the year. He's a retired university professor - albeit in sciences - and it was nice to talk to him about being a frustrated academic, as he understands the issues I've been dealing with

My uncle also bought me my little cherry tree a couple of years ago for my birthday - the one pictured with CJ in my avatar, in fact - and he remembered to ask after it as well, which was nice

Yesterday I learned that sulfur can actually be obtained as a byproduct of refining petroleum (or natural gas, for that matter), and you don't really have to build some dedicated sulfur mine above an underground deposit!

my dogs were funny today. Chloe is a Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix and weighs about 6lbs and Jesse is a beagle/lab mix and is about 4x the size of Chloe. but Chloe is definitely the boss. Normally Chloe is pretty chill but today Jesse tried to take Chloe's space on the bed and Chloe was having none of it and chased Jesse clear off the bed.

Getting my Misfits CD in the mail and listening to it while doing chores and going on a long walk. It was also kinda nice today. Like, I still needed a light hoodie but not too bad. 63 I think.

Getting my Cave Club Emberly in the mail today. I needed her for a custom I want to do. Unfortunately her neck snapped when I removed her head, but I can still get her head on well enough for my needs. She's bald and naked now waiting for me to remove her factory paint. Now I just need to find some blond hair or a good yarn color and the right fabrics for her outfit.

I finally have something to add to this thread! I have a couple of G1 ponies I bought ages ago being delivered today (woooo!). They got delayed by a lot, which is understandable, but I was starting to worry they'd been lost in the mail.
