That is such an incredibly sweet story! And he looks amazing, considering he had been outside for a year! Good job with the rescue and rehab!

I've rescued a few toys that I've found outside, but nothing as epic as your story. One time I found a plastic otter on the ground when I was with my brother. I picked it up and put it on the dashboard of his car, and as far as I know it's still there.

The other best rescue I've done was when I found some very old, antique stuffed dogs at a thrift store. They were in pretty bad shape -- one of them is missing his nose, I think? Anyway, I could tell that they were antiques from the type of materials used to make them. I was afraid that they would end up being sent to a landfill soon, so I bought them and brought them home. So far I haven't been able to find anything out about them, like who made them or exactly how old they are. In fact, I probably need to post pictures of them on here and see if anyone knows anything about them...

What a great transformation! He looks great :lovey:

I am a sucker for toys - when I was younger I used to think that people's spirits could live in toys for a whilst, either as a holiday or to watch and learn stuff, and that sometimes they could get trapped in there. So even now I cannot leave a lost toy - I either pop it on the side of theroad/pavement or if I know it's been there a while it comes home with me. I usua;y end up giving them away to charity shops though if they are in good enough condition. Last one was a plastic toy crab which was outside my sons nursery for months. He plays with it now.
