Apparently the brushable pegasus is based off/voiced by Sia! Explains the bangs.

Also, I REALLY hope Queen Novo gets a brushable version. She's so pretty, but she looks quite out of place as she is now :c

She could always have the molded hair taken off and be haired?

I need a second Queen Novo to paint into a male sea pony or merpony.

I don't keep up with the MLP movie news so this is the first time I'm seeing them but man, I honestly dislike Songbird's and Tempest's designs. They look like generic/bad OCs.

Merponies look interesting, but how come the other one has molded hair? I know I'm already beating a dead horse (ahem) with this comment but only one of these "brushables" are actually...brushable.

I only like the second one on the first post. The rest of them...well they just don't look MLP to me.

True, but her head mold is noticeably different than the other seapony's we've seen.

But ah, I'm nitpicking. I love the looks of these! The griffin, unicorn, cat and yeti-thing look very GoH-esque.

These look interesting! While I'm not a huge fan of all the bipedal characters and wish the sea ponies didn't have legs, Hasbro is clearly putting a lot of love into these toys, which is more than I expected from the last few toy fairs. Also, the merponies are adorable, legs or not
Though, Tempest is a bit too edgy and Songbird is a bit too based on a person I don't know at all... I sure hope we get some more interesting ponies soon.

I had NO IDEA she was gonna be voiced by Sia?! OMGGGG! completely out of my preferred genres, but I will always be a massive fan of Sia xD

Yeah, I don't think the merponies have hair so much as fins.  Not sure why the princess one is brushable, I thought her design looked like a fin on her head/neck too.

So the castle is SEAquestria castle & it appears to have an "up down" theme.
Where the top is for land, and below is for the mermaid...whatever ponies. This new site shows the whole thing

where the previous images I'd seen had cropped it to Novo & the Spike fish.
I like the idea of 'above and below' play, it seems like a more creative effort than their previous castles, like the 'crystal empire' one that what, it just lit up and that was it?

I too hope they release all kinds of mermares/seastallions or whatever these guys will be called.
It seems slightly odd that Novo is hairless but her daughter has hair. Does daughter look too much like Coco Pom-El?

The toys and little release bits are having the intended effect tho: Hype
I also want to know if horn-breaking is 'a thing' (does it heal? etc) Way curious about more pony characters (hope these aren't everything)

Gosh, I thought Songbird Serenade's pic was like a proto image without the bangs cut but I'm now realizing that she's supposed to be that way   
(doesn't know who Sia is... am I old??)
I've been waiting for the first new character to be released in the new style... to see if it changes my mind and makes me want to continue collecting.
I'm, still not sure... she's the only one so far I think I'd be remotely interested in owning.
The Merponies are interesting. I know people have been asking Hasbro for seaponies for years. Its seemed to always get asked in the Q&A @ pony fair. I hope a lot of collectors are happy for them!
They look especially neat in the artwork.
The Storm King looked like a skylander to me at first glance.

I like the Princess- she reminds me of a sea dragon.  I like that they made the tails "poseable" - I think what I don't love about the regular looking sea pony is how huge her head is.
