The yellow and green merpony baby reminds me of a leafeon. Rainbow dash's mane makes me think of life savers candy. Mmm. Lifesaver candy. *Homer Simpson gargle noises*

Ooh, I really like the sea ponies and the weird baby sea ponies in the eggs (as far as I can see).  They are different enough from the original brushables that I think they might go well in my collection.  I'm not planning to get the re-boot standard ponies though.

this whole thing is taking an...interesting turn. TBH I thought that we would just get more pony characters, but now we are getting cats, merponies, and unicorns with broken horns--I'm not sure how I feel, but it sure isn't what I expected!

More than whether or not there will be Sea Ponies besides the Mane 6, I hope there will be a way to get Queen Novo and Blowfish Spike without having to buy the playset; it isn't that I dislike it, but it will be hard to get it into my house.

I must say that even though I wasn't thrilled with the EQG Doll line, I am really happy Hasbro didn't abandon ponies and is still bringing some new and exciting things for collectors.  I truly expected the line to die slowly after all the reissues and dolls but it seems that Hasbro simply pushed through their cost-conservative times rather than stopping and restarting like they did in the past.
