It was beautiful and almost 80 degrees here today but we had a huge thunderstorm and tornado two days ago. Texas, who the heck ever knows what it'll be like here!

I was woken up an hour ago (it is now 3.30am in the UK) and it is so VERY windy + noisy outside, I recall no warning in the weather forecast!

We've had some beautiful and warm days with the occasional cold snap. Pretty typical weather for the Apalachian mountains.

It was hot today. It felt like straight-up summer, even though it's February.

 

If it's going to be hot in winter, it darn well better get cold during the summer. But it won't work that way. Of course it won't. It just gets hotter more and more of the year each year, and the pocket for cold air just continues to diminish.

We're under an enhanced risk for severe weather here.  Damaging winds are the primary threat, but there is discussion of possible tornadoes.  Though, it seems like this system will make a change in the North American weather patterns.  More cold air will intrude on the Midwest.

Typical WI never knowing what it wants for weather... February thaw of about 63F all this week until today! I'd been wearing short sleeves. And this morning, thundersnow! Yup, about 30F, lightning, thunder and small hail. You get everything in one week here...

I just wake up at 9am with 30°C!  Those days at midday it reach the 36°C (even near 40°C on the north!)

Glorious sunny morning, if a bit cool - even my husband went out in his shorts for a 5k run!
Grey clouds soon crept in and we had light drizzle in the afternoon.

Cold, mostly bright, occasional rainy days, though less rain than forecast this week . Still some snow in some areas on the outskirts of the city. I was up at Ohara the other day and there was still snow on the roofs up there. A week or two ago, too, there was a ton of snow still in Yamanashi around the Fuji area. But here in Kyoto the weather is generally cold and mostly bright. Yesterday was freezing first thing, but by the middle of the day it was very bright and sunny and warm enough to eat ice cream without dying of hypothermia

I think it's supposed to stay like that for a bit now. The weather has been a bit up and down which is apparently unusual for this time of year.

I had shorts on yesterday and today I had to bundle up in a coat.

YUP I had to spend 2 1/2 hours shoveling snow as well...
