« on: February 05, 2017, 05:19:42 PM »
I was in Tuesday Morning and saw 3 different Pang-Ju dolls. they were kinda cute, but I couldn't tell much from the Japanese box, which only had text and no pics lol  :P

anyone know anything about them? are they cats? mice? dogs?
are they worth picking up to resell?

I believe they are supposed to be a dog. They probably aren't worth buying for resale.

I believe they are supposed to be Chihuahuas, I'm basing this belief on the way too cute video that AGA released featuring several Pang-ju and a Chihuahua puppy https://youtu.be/Y-dwEoPZw4o . You can buy most Pang-ju brand new from Pullipstyle for $50 so they probably aren't really worth picking up to try and resell but I will still offer some general information on them in case anyone is curious  :)

Pang-ju are made out of ABS plastic, they are not resin so they are considered off-topic on the more purist resin bjd forums such as DoA. They are roughly 10cm tall and are about the same size as a Lati White (they can share clothing). I have a complete release list of them on my website https://pullipsandjunk.com/pullips-company/pang-ju/pang-ju-release-list/

I have a small pack of Pang-jus,  I also have Cherry-pang now ^^;

oh gosh! these are adorable :3 I'm sure I'd pick up Cranberry-Pang and Peach-Pang, but probably also Milk-pang, if I came across them in a store. unfortunately (or luckily) we do not have Tuesday Mornings here... and their online prices are above what I am willing to pay for a single doll.

I understand how it lowers their value in the eyes of many BJD collectors, but the fact that they are not made of resin actually makes me like them more, as resin is not really my type of doll base material, it does not suit the way I like to handle (or rather keep) my dolls (out in the sunlit room, which is apparently also very dusty, facing a main street in the city. not in the direct sunlight of course, I'm not keeping anything besides my hardcore sun.loving succulents there, but I believe our overall apartment would be bright enough to cause the resin to yellow a lot faster than necessary).

thank you for sharing all this info about them, klein! I have never heard of these dolls before.
