Let's discuss the NY Toy Fair

Aww, the Loyal Subjects ponies!! I really hope those come out soon, I've had a pre-order with Gypsy for like a year now LOL! I'm gettin' antsy! (Especially with that glittery Firefly, OOOH!!)

(I forget if she's Gypsy or gypsyunicorn on here, sorry if I get the name wrong!! I'm easily confused!)

I'm always excited about Toyfair-  I heard they were going to try and start opening some parts to the public? I wonder if they started that yet?

I sneaked into Toyfair once on an Exhibitor pass (fam member) and was disappointed to learn you have to make appointments in advance with the BIG manufacturers like Hasbro and Mattel in order to see most of their new goodies... (I think they do background checks to make sure you aren't a corporate spy, haha)  - it was still fun but I didn't get to see the REALLY good stuff in person- I had to wait until people posted pictures of it online (thank goodness for press sneaks!)

Now I just wait to see what pictures pop up-  I am curious to see where MLP may be going- I'm not currently a huge fan of the reboots but there are things about them I like a lot- particularly the details

They do have a public event currently, it started last year. It's called "Play Fair" but its sponsored by Nickelodeon so its only a select few licenses. Last year they had like Shopkins and Miraculous Ladybug and such. Was a huge event!

Yeah, everyone wants to see all teh new and cool stuff so unless you get a verified press pass and appointments (or just know people) it's hard to get in to see stuff otherwise. Most people do a great job at covering new stuff. Can't wait to see what trickles out. I believe Hasbro is having a pre-press event tomorrow so hopefully we'll see some awesome stuff. Movie is this year so I expect big things

It looks like they got the Brand Toolkit page ready. They took off all of last year's info and added the new brands for this year.

Not too excited sad to say. I don't have an interest in the story packs but I'm sure we'll see some of those as well as more of the GoH lines and the reboot lines. Right now I'm just wishing for really good non-G4 based fakies

Also, because I'm looking at MLP Merch atm, We'll likely see the K'Nex spinoff...

But this brings a question for me... What happened to the figures from Loyal Subjects?

Despite my interest in mlp waning, I'm still a bit excited for toy fair and to see new stuff being announced.
Part of me wants something to either bring me back in or to be able to tell myself I'm completely done I think. The movie toy announcements so far have been interesting.
