Anyone customized a reboot pony yet?

I've only seen them in pictures, do they have a shiny type of plastic? That would make them a nightmare to repaint :/
Honestly I don't like them at all personally... But that Rarity rehair!! 

The plastic is the same, or at least similar enough that I didn't notice a difference. The heads look a little shinier in photos but I think that's because they're more bulbous and have sharper angles on the muzzles. Here's a comparison between Twilights:

Though her head looks shiny, you can see the bodies are the same level of matte (and the heads are the same plastic as the bodies). In real life the heads aren't as shiny-looking.

This shows more clearly that they're about the same shine-wise, and also how much wider 4.5 Twi's head is. I find her side profile cute but geeze, that front angle is not flattering.

I haven't tried repainting one yet, but I would assume they can be painted the same as the earlier g4s! If I get a chance maybe I'll do some tests, I have a Fluttershy I'm not super-fond of anyway (got her just because she came with Celestia).

Ah okay, for some reason the plastic looked really shiny to me. That's good, that means they can be repainted then 
That said, I still don't like them  And yeah, that front angle looks pretty bad lol.
I really can't get over how you made Rarity look so cute. I'm really not a fan of their designs at all but I absolutely love what you've done with Rarity!

I've taken only Lyra apart and I will mention the plastic for the neck is a bit thinner than the older ones

I rehaired one the other day! They're exactly the same inside as the older play-size G4s, with the glued-in neck plug. I think the neckhole is smaller (as if they weren't small enough already) so dehairing was a pain, but otherwise no real difference.

Has anyone tried taking off the eye decals yet? I want to give Lyra round eyes like she has in the show instead of the pointy ones on the toy. Are there sculpted eye indents on these guys? Thanks!

I have not removed the eyes, but from what I can tell, there are no indents on these. The faces are completely smooth from indents to the touch.

They take the acetone treatment really well.
And doing a full body paint they tend to  take the paint better then the old g4s.
