You know its winter in Ontario when everyone forgets how to drive at the first snowfall.

You know its winter in Ontario when your nose hairs freeze together.

This year has been unusually warm.

Aww I love this thread! lol.

You know it's late January in Maine because of our lovely 'deep winter cycle': sun comes out in morning, melts all the snow into water, sun goes down in the evening, all water freezes into ice, sun comes up next morning, melts all the ice...etc...

You know it's winter in Florida when every license plate is from a different state or Canadian.

 So true!

Haha! Here in Maine we call those people "snow birds." They fly down to Florida for the winter and come back up here in the summer! XD I work at a school and I already lost two of my instructors because they're snow birds and gone from now until March.

You know it's absolutely any season in west Norway when it's 5-10 degrees and raining  :pout:

Man I would kill for weather consistency like that!

You know it's winter in Maine when it was 49 degrees out yesterday and today we're experiencing an estimated 8-12 inches of snow... -glares out the window-

I'd love to live there!

In Oklahoma, it's more like 70/80 degrees one day and then snowing the next. Except there hasn't been snow in recent years. =(

49 degrees is right about the nicest temperature IMO. If that's as warm as it gets during the winter up there, I'll take it!

lol oh I agree, yesterday was awesome! That is about our warmest day in winter season, yeah. (Though truthfully this whole winter has been a bit warmer than usual.)

No, it's today that I was not too thrilled with. I don't get to call out from work when it snows, so I had to drive 45 min. in this stuff. :P

I want to move there soooo bad. I want to have winter be an actual season where it actually stays chilly/cold the whole way through, instead of jumping up into the 60s and 70s every week, and the weather forecasters acting like a day where the highs are in the low 50s is a "winter blast" (they literally did that just the other day). And then they have the gall to still act like 60s and 70s are "Spring fever" weather. Please. We're lucky if it's that cool during the Spring.

The weather's just so messed up down here.

You know it's almost spring in Texas when the kids think swimming is a good idea because it's 85 out today but the water is still 68 degrees and after ten minutes they are all freezing!

You know you're in Middle Georgia when it's been in the 80s since January... and now the flowers are pollinating!

You know it's winter (around christmas time) in southern Sweden when there's not a single snowflake in sight and it's +10 degrees. And you know it's near springtime in southern Sweden when there's a ton of snow and - degrees. I wanted snow in december, not when it's almost March. :(

You know it's nearly spring in England when one day it is snowing, the next day is a warm and sunny and the next we have gale-force winds.
And today - was warm and sunny
