Gah - cursed variation!

Darn it. I was just sorting some ponies, and realised that a Dazzleglow I got (a double, so she was automatically destined for the sale bin) is a variation on my collection one!!! 

I've just done some reading on the colour variations on Dazzleglow (both mine are the pink heart versions). My 'extra' is the more reddy one with aqua hair. Didn't even realise till now that my collection girl was the pinker, opaque one with blue hair. Oi! 

I'm tempted to keep both now... but I would like to know if there is any specific demand for the redder/aqua coloured hair one? (her hair has been trimmed, which I have to confess is a big turn off for me, so I might still sell her! )  Is she anymore harder to find or pricier than the pink one with blue hair?

Can you show some side by side pictures? Any differences in the stamps on the bottom of their feet?

Is that really a variant? I was always under the impression that the variations in body color had to do with sun exposure?

If that really is... then I have more variants to collect x.x

Yeah, there are known variations - Tafetta's Scrapbook site goes into detail about them. Something to do with UK vs US release/distribution - I'm being very general - I need to read more!  And after searching past arena threads there are some lovely photos of the variations from various people's collections

Oh yeah - I'm having a tough time working out who you have, too Are they all the pinker ones? You've still got some pink hair on one!

Oh if you sell the red one i want her! I have found red is more common in the us, the pinker one more common in the uk.
I have a few that live with me here, i have a pinker body one thats faded to orange i also have a minty looking reddy girl thats quite orange but looks like no fading involved (i think this colour is more to do with mixing of the plastic like they made happy glow first then her so there was left over in the mold to make the plastic more oraney if this makes sence). I ha e seen a few of the pinker colour o es fade to orange but the red i have only seen one other look orange in colour

Other than they are all the pink heart version I have no idea They look a bit closer in color in the picture but in person one of them is purply pink, the other is an orangey pink, and the third is definitely the pink one. The first one looks opaque like the sample pictures, but the other two not so much.

Looking at the mention of hair textures. The first one has very fine hair, and the other two are quite course.

Duenia yours are all the same pony in different degrees of fading, yours are the more pink rather than red versions. Bearing in mind there was a few batches of them as my pink ones have differences in hair plug holes and eye paint but still the same pony

That's funny because I got them all in the US and have yet to come across the red one if that's the case.

I have just noticed more red dazzle glows from the us but this is my mere observant so could be way out on this (actually looking at sold listings 2 have sold in the us, one pink and one red, like wise with the uk so they are the same The red girl in the pics I know longer own, I have been meaning to by her back but just have so many others that I want to buy so she keeps slipping on the priorities list

Thats the pink one and the pink one faded to orange both have the blue hair strip (you can see the eyes are different which is just batch variation)

This pic is terrible I see now looking at it on the pc. I cant take another comparsion shot as I don't have the red one any more. But this is the red one and the orange one (both with the aqua hair strip)

My pink one I got on our home turf, nhal, but she would have likely come here from overseas before she fell into my hands. The red one I picked up in a lot from the US just recently.

Will let you know if I decide to part with her
