How to restore a Dream Beauty?

Hi everypony!
I recently bought Fairflyer, and she's in very poor shape.  I bought her in hopes of restoring her

How could I remove the yellowing off of her body? And which hair colors do you think match her? I need to buy her some hair, and I'd like it to be a close match

What have you tried on the yellow marks? Are they something actually stuck to the pony, or is it actually a yellowing of the plastic?

Leave a Whisper finds the main tutorial, but it's more for re-hairing and broken ones--so it'll work for fixing her hair which I think is

If I am correct, the colors will be exact-match because DH generally is if you choose correctly.

To get rid of the yellowing you can:
Use the BACK (non sharp side) of an xacto to gently rasp them away
Use fine grit sand paper to sand them away

The yellowing is generally caused by too much sun light. It actually transforms the 'skin' top layer to that nasty yellowish color. The only way to rid of it is to sand off or scrape off her skin. This discoloration is actually pretty thin though in most cases so it shouldn't take much / won't dent her to do it.

Feet scuffs: At Michaels or other craft store look over the little bottles of acrylic paints by stuff like Apple Barrel, Martha Stewart, Craftsmart & those sorts which have zillions of pre mixed colors. Bring Beauty with you too...you can likely pick a bottle for a dollar that's reeeeely close match so you don't have to deal with mixing. Then, just brush a couple coats over the scratch areas.

It's not Gusty's color, it's more of a seafoam green.

Finally got to Michael's today!

For anyone who is curious on which paint I bought:

The Martha Stewart paint is called Meyer Lemon.
I mixed the two, and I think it was a really close match for her hooves!
I just painted over the scuffs, and it took a few layers to get the color right.

Wow the sandpaper worked so well on the Dream Beauty. I know I have a few like that lying around. Using 220 sandpaper is a good idea that I wouldn't have thought about.

She is coming along really well.

That paint looks PERFECT!  I have a childhood Fairflyer that I'm considering repainting her hooves as well.  What will you use to seal it?
