I actually didn't care too much for the Moana soundtrack, I know that a lot of people loved it, but to me, it didn't compare to Tangled or Frozen.

It took me a couple of times listening to "How Far I'll Go" before I started to like it.

Right now ive been blasting the Moana soundtrack xD I just LOVE that movie so much omg I CRIED during that whole movie because of how beautiful it was animated and just love the singing talent. Goosebumps every time.


I also love "Part of your World" from Little Mermaid "A whole new world" from Aladdin, "Reflection" from Mulan, the opening song to Lilo and Stitch, and this is kinda Disney(?) but "This what dreams are made of" from the Lizzie McGuire movie. Hilary Duff is my hero!

ive tried to like it, but it just doesn't compare to The Hunchback of Notre Dame, or any other princess movies IMO. I don't know why I don't like them as much, I love the Polynesian culture, and everything tropical, but the songs didn't feel catchy.

No worries.  Everyone likes and dislikes different things. Usually I fall in love with a Disney song right away but the first time I tried to listen to "How far Ill go" I couldn't even finish it.

Does anyone else love "For a Momemt" from the Little Mermaid 2 or "Love Will Find a Way" from Lion King 2. I was disappointed when I found out the special edition Lion King CD that included songs from the 3 movies didn't include "Love Will Find a Way"

I'm a huge Disney geek. 

I've been on a Moana kick lately (I'm a big Lin-Manuel fan,] so that whole soundtrack is pretty high on my list.  I'm especially fond of his demo of Shiny.  It's quite fun.

I can't narrow down to a single song; I'm all about full soundtracks/scores, so my favorites are...

Ooh so many faves!

I love most of Tangled - fave villain song being "Mother Knows Best" I love Mother Gothel's OTT theatrical voice.
Sing Sweet Nightingale - although short - is such a pretty melody (Cinderella)
Fixer Upper from Frozen is so different, like it is from some 70s stage production mixed with gospel, I did not like it at first, but it soon became a favourite of mine.
Soundtrack music from The Incredibles reminds me so much of vintage Columbo/James Bond orchestral incidental music, I love the bit when Mr Incredible is flown the the volcanic island and then the plane goes under water, so 60s/70s.
...um that's all I can think of for now!

Yup; that was my answer, too.  Although I have been known to make (many) Disney playlists now and again.

I don't generally go for musicals but I agree that A Whole New World is good and has that epic feel. I liked Jungle Book especially Louis Prima's performance, but yeah it's racist, meh. Like a lot of Disney back then. 'Raindrops on Roses' from Mary Poppins is a nice lullaby and I enjoyed Alice in Wonderland and Frozen. They have the best of the best in terms of recording artists and you have to appreciate the performances. Fantasia is technically a Disney film so I'll take Ave Maria. But I might see if there is anything on UK netflix, I've not seen Moana.
