Hello there! My name is Amy, I'm 27 and live in the U.K. I have many fond memories as a child playing with the 1st generation ponies and they remain firm favourites today. I wish I still owned my originals but like many people I gave them away when I was encouraged to "grow up" and stop playing with toys.

I suppose I am starting a collection based purely on nostalgia and a massive love of pastel, colourful, cute things. So far I am focusing on the baby ponies because they're simply adorable and I feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of generation 1 ponies to collect. Plus they take up less space!

Hopefully this is the perfect place to discover more about this hobby and chat with similar minded people. Thank you for reading this far if you got to the end! Hehe.

Oh the cry of the giving away ponies and growing up speech we received   One way to look at this now is that you get to relive the collecting experiences as an adult and no one can tell you to give your ponies away

I see a lot of people driven back into toy collecting because they had to give up their toys before they were ready. It's very sad, but nothing can stop you from getting them back! You'll have a lot to talk about and possibly find some babies to buy here. Enjoy the forums!
