New kitten!

Hello everypony say hi to Flash!

Aflame and I finally got our new kitten this weekend! He's 7 months old! He's very shy right now so won't come out of the litter box for photos or anything.
Any advice to help him relax it welcome of course :-) I do have one pic of him from his online profile where we bought him off.
He's the one of the left (the grey and white one). We calling him Flash, after the superhero!

I am sure he will get used to you very soon, he just needs to get used his new home.
Ours love boxes & baskets (they actually both came home in a basket when we got them as kittens) put a shoe box or something down for him. (actually even a piece of flat cardboard seems to work for ours too)

Maybe try a pony too, one of ours loves ponies as soon as I get mine out to sort she is there amongst the teeny tinies (her favs it seems)

Definitely make sure they have a box :p my cat is a year and a half old and she still will just periodically sit in a her box and observe the world. xD It also doubles as a giant play thing and chew toy.

Im not sure if its true xD (but I like to believe it) But I heard that cats with boxes are better around people, because they know they have THAT PLACE they can escape to and be alone. xD again, might be bs, but i think its cute.

My cat is extremely independent, only lets me pet her on her terms but in her own way she is VERY affectionate and shes definitely gotten better over the year. Best thing you can do is just give them some space at first and let them come to you when they want affection.

Definitely agree with getting him a box.

My little scaredy cat absolutely loves his. He seems so much happier and a lot less anxious when he has his box.

Ahh, so that is the little cutie you were talking about. 

I am with the others about getting a box, cats LOVE boxes! Mine are 10 and 9+ (don't know the second's real age since he was a stray) and they still stuff themselves into any box that enters the house. Also, to help overcome shyness, try feeding him treats out of your hand.
