Hello and welcome! When I first got into MLP a couple years ago this was where I came to learn about them, too. Are you into the current ones (Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, etc.) or older ones (Firefly, Cotton Candy, Sundance)? Where you a fan as a kid or did your interest start only recently? I was a doll fan as a child but love ponies as an adult. Anyway, hope to see you around. Have fun checking everything out. If you want to learn anything specific about most ponies, the Corral is probably a good place to start.
