If this is a for real thing, and I'm not certain it is, then Hasbro may as well pull the plug on the brand. You don't fry whatever you dug up in the garbage then serve it to your customers and expect them to praise you.

It really does look like someone drew wings on an earth pony with pen though.

Yeah personally I don't mind this since the character is basically Dr. Whooves with wings so I can understand this decision. I mean we basically get new waves with new characters that are actually based on characters from the show instead of random ones with different gimmicks so I really dont see the problem here. The only thing I hope is that they fix the overlapping cutie mark.

They can make the effort to try and make him look accurate but keep making FS with the RD mold.

That is a shame. :yikes: And the fact that they didn't even cover up the symbol under the wing........

They are wings? I thought someone had drawn a bad picture of a safety pin  :pout:

Really dislike the way the symbol shows through the wing. I cannot believe Hasbro would do do this so guessing it is a prototype and that a molded wing mold is on the way.

Otherwise.....HasNO. Just Hasno.

I hope this is not real. if this is real and there is not enough negative feedback, where else might they decide they do not need 3D wings in the line? I shudder to think of it. :/

They have made some pretty awful decisions with the blind bags before and some pretty good ones. This is one of those awful ones that probably could have worked if they had even done it right.

I'm one of those who thinks this was just lazy, but logically it would have been hard for them to do the symbol placed right there if they had done folded wings in molded plastic... if they do a kind of stencil method for symbol work... unless they had don the wings separate and attach them after the symbol work (would would have worked)
My DeviantArt, why not drop by and take a look!

I feel like this is the reason that the newer MLP will not be around long enough to be collectible.  They're cheap and poorly made for the most part.  Very sad.

Thank goodness I don't collect those things any more. Which reminds me I have a relatively sizeable collection of them I need to sort out as well...

Maybe it's a prototype in that the actual release won't have any overlap. I doubt they are going to make a folded wing mold for just one character that's probably a chase and Thunderlane's mold doesn't suit the character.

I agree. It would be baffling considering how they went all out for the GoH line.

I like it, as long as the overlapping is removed :)
