I finally had a time (and desire) to work on my little BJD pony yesterday.

Holes for rehairing.  I actually made them all larger once I started putting in hair.
I didn't go any further down towards the neck for a reason:  Inside the head is a bar for holding the elastic.  If I went any further down I would risk caring into this bar and possibly weaken the part.

Also, I made these holes by using a very small drill bit by HAND.  It was not in a drill, I can't hold it that steady.  :P
I also used a craft knife and needles.  It was a slow process, but it worked.  :)

I am not quite finished with the re-hair, so no pics of that yet.

This one is odd so let me explain:

I am trying to fix the front hoof so it holds a pose like the rear hooves.  I put some clear epoxy on this part and the needles are there to keep a hole for the elastic.

It is dry today and I have worked the needles out.  I am slowly carving the epoxy into the desired shape.  I will add pics when I am finished to show what I did.  >> I am hoping this works and holds when I re-string..!

---------------------------

This is all for now.  Nothing exciting, but I am just glad to have made any progress at all.

Sorry for the huge lapse.

But I have had some success!  I have been able to get the front hoof to hold the point!  It's just one and I need to do the other.  I hope to finish this weekend and post pics.  I also will have her done with rooted hair.  :)

Nothing secret that I know of, lol!  Unless it was my 'theme'.  She is heavily based off of the animated "The Last Unicorn".  <3

I am not 100% finished, but have some progress pics!

This is both FRONT hooves.   The one on the RIGHT is the one I have modified.  You can see how the 'bar' that holds the string is now much lower.

This is the modified front hoof.  I have just the leg strung here and I am holding tension on it with my hand.  You can see it now holds the point position!  (You can also see that after all the handling I need to find a way to clean the hoof.  :P )

Just another pic of the fixed hoof.  Sorry for the quality, this was hard to get my hand steady!

I need to add some more hair to a few of the mane plugs, but I have most of the hair in now!

Another shot of the hair.  It is a mix of Dolly Hair Arctic Frost and Diamond.

This may be all for this weekend, but I wanted you all to know that this has WORKED and the front hoof can be modified in a way that allows full posing.  :)

Thank you!  I hope to get time to work on the other hoof this weekend.

And figure out how to clean it up, the texture of the plastic might make cleaning interesting.  :P
