Love Saltina SO much!  Is she going to be for sale?  Do you have plans to make other girl counterparts for the boys?

Alas, Saltina was a gift for someone special.
Glitter, that's its own beast. Go as fine as you can and use gloss mod podge to seal, or just leave it open to the world. Its so very messy I do small sections at  a time to not cause overlap.
I may have more CP pose victims. Right now I'm really trying to work on downsizing my excess of BBE's...
The only issue I'm having is remembering what people use for weights to balance out a pony. Sculpted hats unevenly distribute weight.

I think just about anything non-ferrous would work well for weight right?  I replace the iron weight in seaponies with $1.50 of US quarters and it works great and gets rid of the iron, no glue required.  Too big for BBEs though, maybe just use stones (or glass beads or lead shot) and glue?

I just got a star-shaped hole punch as well as a heart and a teardrop so I can make crispy stencils for airbrushing symbols...now if I can just get off my butt and make something...

Hey!  I know you didn't ask me, but I have been customizing for a bit and thought I could help.  I use Vallejo Acrylics.  I find that artist quality acrylics have a heavier pigment load and go on smoother than cheaper craft acrylics.  Craft acrylics watered down do work well enough though and are really affordable. 

To make the acrylics more durable, I seal the custom with Testors Dullcote Spray.  It needs to be applied in thin, short strokes.  Customizers have been using it for at least 15 years and I don't think I've ever heard of a tackiness problem with it.  I used Mod Podge (watered down to milk consistency and lightly sponged on with a makeup sponge) for years and never had a problem with that either.  Some people have reported a tackiness in certain climates though. 

I would stay away from any spray paints or non-acrylic enamels.  Anything that isn't water based seems to react poorly to pony vinyl.  Good luck!

I hand paint everything. Apple Barrel acrylics (they're inexpensive, easy to find) and either gloss or matte mod podge to seal.
