Has anyone watched Flowering Child? I saw it was added to  Netflix recently.  I put it on my watch list but the preview reminds me a lot of Pretty Cure/Glitter Force and I have a hard time staying interested in Pretty Cure.

I haven't started any new anime series although I did watch one of the Yona ova's the other day and loved it.

I just noticed that I made a typo the other day. The series that has recently been added to Netflix is Flowering Heart not Flowering Child. Has anyone seen it?

Also what was the latest episode of the new Fruits Basket?

To Heart is  a video game, I believe a dating sim...  but it has manga and possibly a show.

It explained how Arisa met her idol, and how her mum left her. Her old gang members appeared (at the end all three of the gang members broke the fourth wall, then tried to threaten Momiji but he scared them by talking German)

To Heart is a PC game from 1997. And an all ages version in 1999ish on PS1.
It also had two anime.. and a manga.

Takara released 3 girls from the series To Heart in this style of doll. It was merch for the anime series.

Ah, I completely glossed over the word "To" in your post when I read it before! I've heard of To Heart before, mostly because Koge-Donbo* drew some artwork of it before... it's in one of her artbooks I own (might edit this post with a photo of it if I remember to after my phone's done charging).

Her head, forearms/hands, and lower legs/feet are plastic, but the main body is soft. Her hair is rooted. It's not very thick rooting, but the hat covers any areas where you'd be able to see the head underneath.

Thanks to the references earlier in the thread I've been rewatching Koruda (Corda D'Oro) 3.

I am fond of this anime even if I do watch it with mad seiyuu event incidents in mind...such as Miyano Mamoru accidentally collapsing his mic stand mid-drama, and the adlibs that come from getting a bunch of slightly crazy people together on the same stage.

Each time I watch it I become more fond of Hozumi and of Kyouya. I think they were always the two that stood out to me from the outset, although it keeps reminding me I never did finish playing the game. The problem with game-to-anime/manga is that often the game has stuff in that the anime doesn't reference, because there's an assumption the audience already knows it anyway.

Haruka 3 was like that with the specials. I love Haruka 3, to the point one day it might even get into my academic work, but the first special starts them off in the middle of the forest in Kumano and doesn't totally explain how they got there...just kind of a brief explanation but it makes more sense when you've played it than when you haven't and important minor details like Atsumori is an onryou...kind of pass you by.

Thanks to earlier recommends - I watched Gekkan Shoujo no Nozaki-kun. It's so funny. It pokes fun at so many shoujo manga stereotypes, while all the time the main character is sort of attempting her own shoujo manga storyline and failing utterly because Nozaki is so dense.

Also, a small recommend from me from some time back, but I watched Angels of Death earlier in the year. It's completely messed up, full of all kinds of violence and probably isn't for everyone, but I kind of like the twisted bond between the two main characters.

Now debating whether to read the manga for Boku no Hero Academia or wait till October for the new season to come out. I'm still not hugely interested in the villains, but I do like the students and some of their teachers.

I got my latest Di Gi Charat package today. It was scheduled for delivery tomorrow since it got to the post office to late to be delivered today (it arrived at 11:11am, not too much earlier and it would have been today). I ended up going to the post office to see if I could just pick it up today. Normally I'd just let it get delivered the intended day, but I have a dentist appointment at 11am tomorrow morning and that's a common time for the mail lady to arrive, so I didn't want to risk missing it and then having to pick it up after work Thursday afternoon. Anyway, they let me pick it up today!
