"Old" probably wasn't the best word choice on my part. The average was what I was referring to ($48), not the 2016 price ($86) which is spot on with current prices. It's just that the $35 auction from 2010 brings the average way down and I didn't want people getting disappointed when they couldn't find an Oakly for sale for under $50. I apologize if it sounded like I was denigrating your price guide in general, as that was not my intent.
Yes, but on my price guide if you see 2010 or 2009 or 2011, it doesn't mean that it's old as you say. Everything with an asterisk has been recently updated. When I go through and the high and low from let's say 2009 are higher and lower than 2016, then they stay put. However, the average changes because it's not going to be exactly the same, even if it changes only a little bit. So don't be fooled by the year. It's like if you set a Guinness Book Record in 1900. That record is going to be that record until someone breaks that record. You aren't going to be like "That's old" and move on. It's going to stay there until there's a reason to change it.
If Oakley is high right now, it's because it's close to Christmas. If you notice, prices are high right now. I just sold a pony that usually sells for right around $6 for over $16. And, as I said before, I don't deal with BINs because I feel auctions can give me a more accurate price range. And that's why I also take 6 months worth of prices. That way I can watch during certain peak times of year like Christmas.
