My best was getting Baby Sugarberry and Baby Love Melody for about $0.50 each at a rummage sale. I also got Baby Lil' Sweetcake in an eBay lot for about $1. I found a cartoon eye Baby Spike at a flea market for about $0.12 and there was a Buy It Now NM Ice Crystal on eBay for $50.

What does NM mean?

My best pony moment was probably finding a lot of G1-G3 ponies on a loal FB group for £20. There were about 20 ponies and loads of accessories so was a bargain in itself but one of the ponies was Perla 

I also found a box of G1 party accessories - cups, napkins etc for 50p I think it was at a bootsale. Went home and had a look through and it turns out it was a prize for some newspaper draw, with the letter still in the box.

I've gotten a couple of really good Craigslist lots.  Pretty sure I'll be able to buy a MO Mommy and Baby set once I'm done selling the items from the last one.  I've also found 4 Mimics at flea markets, etc.

Chief and Barnacle for free, Lightning for 10 crowns (roughly a dollar), Baby Stargaze for 5 crowns, Baby Diamond with ring for something like 1-2 crowns.

Last month my mom snagged a sweet deal for me, 30 ponies for 10 bucks. I'm still cleaning them up, but some of the best ones, Fizzy with nearly perfect eyes, one eye you can just barely tell that its missing some of the coating, SS Wind Whistler with pink hair and nearly perfect flocking, a mint Sweet Tooth. A lot of the common ponies also have nearly perfect glitter too.
 She tricked me good one that one! She texted me with a photo of Sugarberry and was like, "I found you a pony, would you like it today? I can come drop it off"
And I'm like, yeah sure! I'm excited, just over the one pony, so when she shows up with that big bag. I just about lost my mind!

My best luck was getting about 100 g1 ponies at the thrift store for $1/each.  In that lot, I got TAF Nightglider, a couple of boys, a lot of babies, Starglow, Baby Crumpet and some others.

There was another time at the same thrift store that I scored 36 ponies for about $1/each.  Less ponies that time, but they were in excellent shape.

Individually, my best find was the MO Mommy pony - though, technically, my mom found her. 
Found Princess Taffeta and Munchy at the thrift store on separate occasions. 
Found Baby Princess Sparkle at a garage sale for 50 cents.

I've had a good few lucky purchases, pony and otherwise, but one that really stands out was when I started collecting G1 Ponies and purchased a lot with two Windy Wing Ponies as well as two Sparkle Babies and a couple of other baby ponies for $30, part of what made the purchase so lucky was that the lot had actually sold once before and for much more than I was willing to pay, but then it ended up being relisted and sold for less than it was wen I found it the first time.


I have more examples with G4 Ponies, including getting most of my glitter funko Ponies in store for the same price as the regular ones (All of the Mane 6 & Pony (Pinkie Applejack and Rarity were bought on ebay while Rainbow and Pony were bought off toywiz), Dr Hooves, Trixie, Spitfire, Bonbon, Princess Celestia, Discord, and Applebloom)

I found two bags of G1 ponies at the thrift store a few weeks ago! The bags were $2-$3 each I think. It was my first time seeing G1 ponies 'in the wild' so to speak and I was super excited. Cotton Candy, Posey, Moonstone, Gusty, and Sunbeam are the newest additions to my little G1 herd.
