Desert Bus

Anyone else looking forward to Desert Bus? :bounce: (www.desertbus.org) Starts Nov.12!

Every year this online comedy group (from BC) plays the "worst video game known to man", ie: Desert Bus. (literally drive in a straight line for hours, but the bus pulls to the left) It's a charity even for Child's Play - the more money they raise, the longer they play. Last year was nearly a full week, and raised $638K. It's a lot of fun and they do hilarious stuff to kill the boredom along the way.

This year I joined the craft-a-long - 100s of crafted items available for auction. I created a 3 foot Hogwarts Express train, which will be part of their silent auction. (details and pics will be posted soon in the Arts & Crafts Corral)

So incredibly well. The final winning bid was $1200 (started at 1000 within half an hour, then 1111.11, and ended at 1200).

Of course Desert Bus is still going, and will be for most of the week - only at 31 out of (currently) 131 hours. Given the crazy hour for the auction, I'm glad it happened on the weekend so we could watch. I would've got 0 work done, lol.

I heard about Desert Bus at Pax Aus this year, but then I was starting a new job and completely forgot to check it out with all the stress I was under
