Where do you buy your rehair tools?

It's been a while since I posted a custom, hasn't it?
Anyway after at least a thousand years, I found my rehairing tool and began to work again!
...And prompty broke it.

So I've got two hairless ponies glaring at me from my desk, clearly not happy that they're either
fully or half-bald. I'm really looking for a durable tool that won't break easily, because this one is the third
I've gone through so far. I'm honestly not sure how it keeps happening...

I realize Dollyhair has their own rehair tools, but I can't manage to replace the needles, even when following the instructions exactly. The last one was just a small wood piece with a needle and still managed to break it. Sigh.

I have seen some on eBay, and from the tutorials thete must be other websites to buy them.
I did one myself and the first needle broke in the first quarter of the job. The second one did not break though. Anyway dollyhair sell them but as tou say if they are hard to replace it is not worth it :-(

I bought my first rehair tool just recently from Dollplanet on ebay.
No complaints at all! The tool itself looks very professional and did a great job! It also came with needles, and after I broke most of those I ordered more. Prices were good and the seller was very friendly!

i always buy my tool at dollyhair, i like the long shaft of it. I break needles very often, but i've found that using thinner plugs helps a lot to prevent it from breaking. even just a small wisp of strands can make the difference. try to use the minimal ammount of hair possible to still make it look nice.

For my first rehair I'm still thinking I could have put more hair, but the strands that detached automatically looked ok for me... next time I'll try just a bit more even if the pony looks just fine.

Doll planet. The needles they sell last forever to they are so strong i am still using my original needle after a year

Thanx for the info, I think I will try doll planet, plus they have hair too, do you knowif it is the same quality than the one from Dollyhair?
So that I buy more things from them, for the shipping costs.

I just ordered a re-hair tool from Dollyhair and maybe it's a new one, because the needle keeps coming out and the whole thing is easily able to open up and change the needle. I've re-haired 6 ponies so far with it, and it's been great. Maybe they changed it to be a better tool recently.

I ordered a tool and hair from doll planet. We'll see how long it takes them to arrive and the quality. Dolly hair take around 2 weeks plus a few days. Next time matbe I will try the UK seller ^^
