New Equestria Girls Minis Revealed - The End of the full sized dolls?

It's interesting to note that the "Minis" logo on the packaging is completely gone and we haven't heard much news about the regular full sized dolls. Here's my theory: the Minis are a transitional phase in the Equestria Girls toys. The dolls haven't been selling well and a lot of people have been asking for show accurate Equestria Girls. Hasbro released the minis as a spin off line but in reality it was Hasbro's way of slowly rebooting the line. That's why the dolls have little to no promotion but the Minis are getting a lot of attention.

No Legend of Everfree doll commercials.

No cheesy live action music video.

No promotion anywhere besides the movie (which was promoted pretty well)

But the Minis, however? A short series, commercials, a website, really everything. And now Hasbro drops the Mini part in the logo because the cycle is complete: the Minis are now Equestria Girls main toys. THIS was Hasbro's way of doing a reboot without really getting anyone mad.

And I think they've succeeded.

Honestly as much as I like the Minis I'm going to miss the full sized dolls. I still want them to do some Minis with rooted hair and fabric clothes.

Good riddance! The fullsize dolls are terrible imo and I've always hated them. They look so cheap and are incredibly overpriced compared to what they were trying to compete with (Monster High) and just, other doll lines in general. I'm primarily a doll collector but still don't own a single fullsize EQG doll. They're just awful.

The minis are a lot cuter. I don't have any yet but I might pick up Photo Finish eventually. Her camera is so cute!

So they're up three non-main-6 characters now? Sunset, Flash, and Photo Finish? I guess that's an okay start, but they've got a long way to go if they want to replace the brushables.

Vinyl too. But yeah, they're going to have to make a lot more characters if I'm going to buy them (sirens, shadowbolts, gloriosa and timber, etc). Glad to see scitwi though.

The minis are much cuter IMO.  The full size ones looked generic to me and just . . . lacking in personality.

In particular I love the Twilight science set here.  It's sooo cute!  I want to buy it and give the accessories to my regular ponies, lol.

Make a mold and cast the mold in resin. If you've never worked with resin before it might be cheaper/easier to just buy more sets, remove the stands, and sell the rest.

Rerooting is not an option with these dolls, they could get away with making wigs for them though

They could make a hollow rootable head. They made rootable versions of the SSC Minis back when they had the license.

Those are adorable. I think the minis have way more personality than the full-size dolls :S
