Susie was one of the first dolls I got when I started collecting, way back in March of 2008. She arrived in a handmade dress that's basically a sack. It has no closures in the back and has seen much better days. It works great for spooky/sad photos but that's about it.

I've wanted to get new clothes for her for years! I went so far as to put some on my Christmas list one year but it kind of fell off my priorities after that. Poor Susie has been sitting around in her blue dress for over eight years. Probably much longer! She only has photos in that drab blue sack.

But Tula heard her cries and surprised her with her very first real dress! The colors may be a bit bright for Susie's taste but I absolutely love it. Tula even helped us figure out a few types of clothing that would work for her. The dress arrived today and I dragged my boyfriend down to the park to celebrate. Susie has never looked so lively!

ROFLOL I just love it!  She looks wonderful in that.  You never know, if I am bored one day I may have to make her something else. Tee hee.  I always did love sewing for 8 inch dolls.  How was the fit?  Where the snaps in a good place or could it be just a bit smaller?  Let me know.  I drew the pattern and forgot to ask you.

She really does! Its perfect for her <3 It fits well, just a little bit big. I can always change the snaps later, or add a second set. First I want to see who she can share it with for now! The tights are a little tiny bit long, but once I get her some shoes that won't really be noticeable. I haven't gotten to try on the bloomers yet but I'll do that later today and let you know.
