Sounds fun!! Great host pony choice haha basically the best option (another I thought of was Powder), now do we need a rare pony as well? I think earlier December would probably work better, because things always get crazy closer to the holidays. I'm not sure which yet though.

I think egg nog is a must! I could maybe make some grinch cocktails if anyones interested??

Yes to Egg Nog! And Grinch Cocktails. I don't even know what they are, but they have the word "Cocktails."

I'm leaning towards the Friday, because there's usually not too much going on on Fridays- I can ditch work early, drive through the inevitable snowstorm, then hunker down with a glass of nog!

When you say Secret Santa, are you thinking like a swap where we exchange names, or like the mystery swap thing? I really like the idea of a name exchange, but then when someone can't make it, we're in a little bit of a jam. I've done ornament exchanges in the past--- maybe a possibility!

I'm thinking like a traditional secret santa where you get one other person's name and buy for them specifically. That way the gift activity is unique to the season.    An ornament exchange could be neat- I participate in a 2d arena ornament exchange, but it's a pretty crafty thing. :/

Given the choice between these two, I would definitely go for the Secret Santa! I haven't been in a real swap since Lincoln was born, and I miss them. Plus, candy!

I voted for the last Sunday, but any of those days would work as long as I have 3 weeks to let my boss know. And the Secret Santa/Pony sounds fun!!!! I also like the ornament exchange, or maybe that could be one of the contests?

I have in mind one contest only. Super simple- a coloring contest. I will create a line-art, and all you have to do it color it. And there will be a totally AWESOME award for the winner!! Either that or another photo contest. Which ever one more people will do!

I like the idea of hand-made ornaments, but based on the participation in the craft contest for the Big Meet, we'd only have two participants. So I think it might be best to make our more popular activities stronger, y'know?

Right now looks like Sunday December 11 is a front runner. Shall we lock it in?

Ashley and I are both in for whatever date- we've already started planning the presents we'll be making for everyone.
I am good with the 11th- I have a big family party on the 10th, and it wouldn't bother me to have the party on the evening of the 10th, after the family party. It's in Faribault, which is already halfway to your house, so I wouldn't have to drive north again, I could just have a really long day.
However, Sunday will work well, too. When the time gets closer I'll be able to let you know if Lincoln will be coming along so you can mentally prepare your puppies for some toddler fun. Like I've said before, whatever day it is, I will do my darndest to make it. I love you people, and I love ponies. That's all I really need.

A coloring contest sounds really fun- I can usually stay in the lines!

Any thoughts on the swap? This is the only swap I'm doing/have done for the last three years, so I'm willing to make the spending limit a little higher, something like $30. My limit is $50, I have to buy a present for my husband, after all! Can't spend all my money on ponies! Plus I'll want to make something, so the more time there is to customize the gift, the better!
