Is there anything going on in China right now...?

I've recently purchased Sea Swirl and Meadow Flower from a pretty reputable Chinese seller from ebay (not sure if allowed to post member IDs, so I won't ) the seller shipped it, but for about a week now, the tracking still says "posting" which was put on August 24th. I honestly have no idea what that means, I just know that i've bought from the seller before and the ponies I previously bought from them have came to me pretty fast with tracking updates and all.
And I know stuff can travel without being updated, which I honestly hope that's the case.

Its just this time...things feel off to me. I'm wondering is anything happening in China right now that's hindering mail? Like a natural disaster, national holiday, or postal strike?  i'm curious and I wanna know what's going on

I'm not sure if anything is happening in China, but I know almost every package I've had from there normally takes between 2-5 weeks to arrive. They could just be very slow updating the info over there

I think china in general is very slow. I would just give it some time. I have bought things from there and it does take awhile not like the US. The Uk can be so/so at times I just learn to deal with slow mail.

Nothing is happening here, everything is fine.
Sometimes packages are handled slower, who knows. Just be patient, I'm sure it will be ok.

I'm waiting on two different packages from China right now but I'm not at the worried point yet. Sometimes they come absurdly quick (just over a week) and sometimes excruciatingly slow (upwards of seven weeks). If they have decent feedback then it should be fine.

Funny enough I bought a petticoat on eBay from China. It was put in the post on the 18th and just made it to NY today!  Every time I buy from China it takes around 2 weeks.  From the 19th to the 2nd tracking told me "origin post is preparing shipping."

It's nice to know you've had the same experience  I'm gonna try to distract myself from it. If they're not here on Sept. 17th (expected delivery day) then I guess I'll go from there.
