Cake topper owls

A pair of sculpted owls I made to serve as our wedding cake topper. Although most likely they'll have to be placed next to the cake as we're having chocolate mousse cake and I'm not sure it will bear their weight.

They were sculpted with Fimo over aluminum foil armature, painted with acrylics and sealed with gloss varnish. I gave the female owl a tiny veil made with tulle, pearl trim, and a scrap piece of lace ribbon.
