He looks like a rehair to me, the mane is a bit long and lots of glue in the head..but he's still lovely I'm not sure of his price, I'm sure someone here knows more than I do.

He is beautiful.  As rare as he is, I can't imagine it would be a whole lot different than an original (which I have no idea what the price would be).  Of course, I am wrong more times than right when it comes to nirvana ponies.  And your friend has the purple one to boot.  Lucky person.  If they are thinking of selling, auction him.  He is worth whatever someone is willing to shell out for him.

He looks fabulous even rehaired.... I think he would still sell for $500-800 although I seen a 100% original in great shape sell for $1,500 ....so it's hard to say

For $300, I would come out of my pony buying hiatus and he is not even on my extremely wanted/will make an exception for list

I think if he'd been perfect Wizzer's price of $1500 is correct, but the rehair does devalue him a lot

I'd suggest taking offers on him.

he is wonderful, I do agree with his rehair denting his price alot, I would guess in the $400- $500 mark also. Offers would properly be the best way to go as someone might be willing to pay more

It does look likely to be rehaired to me as well - there's something about the sheen of the hair, plus the length and curl (and weave) that just doesn't look quite right.

He is still gorgeous though. Tentatively I would agree with around $300, but I've never managed to keep up on the value of the Colombian boys!
