Yet another Breyer ID help please
« on: August 15, 2016, 10:05:33 AM »
I've looked all over identify your breyer's website and I just cannot find this Classic mold at all. Also may I make the suggestion we have a specified thread for toy Identification help perhaps?

Tail is molded to the left hind leg very straight legs so I suspect and older mold? Has the breyer molding co symbol on the right inner hind leg. The lot I picked up at goodwill recently were all 60s-70s models

Sorry to question you, but are you sure he is Classic scale? Because he looks like Galiceño to me.

Agreed, you can't find him because he's the Traditional scale Galiceno pony rather than a classic mold.

The horse was a lot smaller than the two running mares and Clydesdale traditionals ( 7.5 inches high at the ears) So I assumed he was a classic mold.

Pony explains a lot! Wish the identify your breyer had that mentioned in the description somewhere when looking at all the different molds.

Yup original release Galiceno.  A good tip is if you think it is classic and can not find it, go look at the traditional's, Breyer did many other ponies who are not as large as say your Clydesdale mare but are considered traditional's not classics.

Thanks for the help! Once I get all of them cleaned up they'll be up for trade/sale. It was the first time I've come across breyers thrifting that wasn't an antique store!
