I'm not really a collector, although I acquired a handful of models when I was a child.  More recently, I've found a couple at a thrift store.  One of those was today.  I recognized him as a Breyer (just by overall quality) before I even picked him up to check inside the leg.  When I tuned him over, I found this:

I haven't seen this before and was wondering when they started marking models this way.

Here's the horse, by the way.  He's nothing special and pretty worn, but I got him, anyway.

The silver logo is exclusive to "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" horses :)

You've got classic-size Spirit there!

Oh, really?  From looking at IdentifyYourBreyer.com, I figured he was a regular Mesteno.  I'm not finding anything about the Spirit series on there.

Thanks.  It's nice to know who came home with me.  :)

I thought that was Mesteno too. I mean I thought Spirit was only on the Padre' mold.

Nope! It's classic sized Spirit, if you scroll to the bottom of this page (idk how to direct link) http://www.identifyyourbreyer.com/identify/Classic/Mesteno.htm
