Baby Cuddles variant question

  Hi all,

         I was looking up my NBBE Baby Cuddles on MLW as I put her up for sale, but it lead me to a variant question.  Mine has freckles and green eyes, but her hoof says made in Hong Kong.  According to MLW it's the China variant that should have the freckles?  But, mine's head is factory sealed and her head and body are a good match.  Is that weird?

Sorry, the HK foot is hard to read.  If this is actually unusual I will take clearer photos

All NBBE Baby Cuddles have freckles.    The BBE version is the one that doesn't have freckles.

Edit:  I just remembered that years later Cuddles was released as a mail order in the "Playset pony" set (along with Majesty, Lemon Drop, and one or two others).  I don't know if that version had freckles or not.  Seems likely they would be made in China at that point.

But "regular" storebought Cuddles definitely had freckles, and they originally came from Hong Kong.

Ah, maybe the info on My Little Wiki was actually referring to the BBE version.  Do they ever have freckles?  I don't collect them.

BBE never have freckles, though they do have "eyeshadow".  I used to think that was in case their eyes ever rusted (which happens!) you'd know what their original eye color was That's not the case as one or two have eyeshadow that doesn't match their eyes (I forget who offhand) - and I doubt that was the original intention after all, though I wonder why they do have it!

Back on topic, I believe the mail order Baby Cuddles and Tiddlywinks both do not have freckles.
