Pending? (eBay/PayPal)

Hi!

I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, but I have never experienced this before, so I gets on my nerves.

I bought a non-pony item on eBay, but after a few days I got a message that the item was no longer available due to a listing error. I got a full refund right away, so no problem at all. But the refund is still pending when I look at my PayPal account, so I can't use it. Does that sort of thing solve itself? Or does it require action of any kind?

I think this came up recently in another post, but I can't find it.  IIRC, the consensus was that it takes some time for the eBay refund to "go through" and meanwhile it is indeed listed as "pending."

Yes unfortuntely you can wait for as much as a week until the refund sorts itself out in your account. Very frustrating and not really acceptable by paypal...but alas it is the way they work

Thanks a lot for the replies! It's a remarkable way of handling it by PayPal indeed, but I'm already glad that I didn't overlook anything and that it will solve itself!
