Anyone remember ViewMaster?

I saw a viewmaster in goodwill the other day, still wondering if i should have picked it up, i had one when i was little, i also had a neat one that actually worked like a projector, it would light up and project the images on the wall, it was neat!

Oh man, I had a big red viewmaster that I got for Christmas when I was extremely young. Was certainly one of my favorite things as a kid!

I had a red viewmaster I only had pony slides for it though.

I had both the basic red one and then a slightly updated blue one when I was younger, plus a ton of reels. 

Right now, I have some sealed Muppets and...  Maybe Scooby Doo vintage reels somewhere?  But no viewer.  I should remedy that.

Yes, I loved viewfinder - I don't have mine anymore or any of the reels, but I was actually just starting to look into getting one again

Wow. I've still got my red viewmaster, I didn't know they came in other shapes and colours? Was that just in America or did different ones appear in England or the UK?
My reels are : The Muppets, Scooby Doo (all about the Snow Ghost!), Paddington, Adam and the Ants (that's a majorly important Early 80s group, for all you young un's out there, not a cartoon!) and Buck Rogers!
I thought about selling it on Ebay a few years ago, but made the mistake of watching them all, and of course after that I realised it's not going anywhere!

Not sure if it was just an American thing or not. Have you seen the new virtual smart phone viewmaster?! it's interesting/neat

I have a classic red one and a Casper movie projector one which the projector ones seem a bit more sought after now since you can project your reels nice and big on the wall. At least going by ebay sold listings...
