Brazil Sprinkles and the strange plastic

Any comments on these?  the pink one is clearly starting the process that ended up becoming the white sprinkles... like the plastic is breaking down, there is a bit of a sticky residue over the surface of both ponies but far more pronounced on the pink one which is going through its "change of life".  PC on these girls?  Anyone had experience with these before?  Have a decent number of Brazilians but the only one with this situation seems to be Sprinkles.

Oh no poor Sprinkles. I haven't seen a Brazilian Sprinkles do that, mine has stayed true. Any others?

I have seen this on a brazil sprinkles. Its regrind.  The yellow ponies (butterflies and the bubbles) get pink spots which i also think is regrind
