watching this thread - I'd love to get a stand sometime for my Starcatcher. :)
Starcatcher has a magnet, doesn't she? You could just put a little piece of metal under her, unless the later release doesn't have the magnet. I just can't remember! Gah!

My husband made me a set of them out of wood. He was so proud of them, but they're really just little coasters with tiny dowels sticking up. They work, though, and Magic Star doesn't fall over anymore.

Great idea!

I am still looking but sadly I got into financial trouble today for this month atleast because I suddenly need to pay a whole ton of money to get my Rapunzel due to import tax and customs :(

I can't afford to spend loads of money the coming months.

Shelvesofwhimsy, you have a 3D printer? I have some rearing ponies if you need a model to get the measurements right, and I see your profile says you live in SF. I live just across the bay from you! Perhaps we could have a pony accessory fabrication get together sometime? PM me if you like.

Another idea for replacement stands: Companies like Tap Plastics will custom laser cut any shape you like from acrylic. They will send them to you too, I imagine. Give them the dimensions of the original circle, and then use epoxy to attach small cut acrylic rod pieces to the stand. There's your stand! Probably pretty inexpensive, and a lot less labor intensive than recasting an old stand.

I have a friend who owns a laser cutter, just no time to mass produce these at the moment.

I have two original stands, just nervous about getting them casted and new moulds made.

Silicone is unlikely to harm the original stand's  plastic or bond to it, especially if you spray the stand with a product called Mann Mold Release.

I used to make them, I just got out of it because I could never find a good clear resin.  I made colors, just for fun, and to cover the fact the resin had bubbles or such in it. :D

I'm glad others are doing it.  Those darned stands seem to just disappear without warning.
Thanks to Whippetluv for my awsome persona pony!!

I DIY'd a couple.  They're not pretty, but work.  I took those round little mini table looking things that come in the middle of delivered pizza, cut off one peg, cut the other two short and put tape around them to make them thicker and voila, my pony stand up.  Like I said, not pretty but functional.  I would love to have prettier ones that don't break the bank.
Thank you to SquarePeg for my beautiful avi.

I make 3D printed stands. :) At the moment, however the printer is down and I don't have any inventory right now. I can do clear, red, white, blue, black, yellow, and possibly green. If anyone is interested I can let you know when it is back up and running. I've been selling them for $12 each or $10 each if you buy more than one. Let me know if you would like to see a picture.
