How much do Columbian Applejacks and Bow Ties go for
« on: July 16, 2016, 09:06:42 PM »
My interest in Columbian ponies has been peaked.  Specifically the shy pose Applejacks and Bow Ties.  Nothing I can afford right now, maybe never  .  I came across an old thread who's prices sounds very outdated.  I wish they only cost the price check amounts given   Something about the discovery of the Venezuelan ponies and difficult times with one of the main sellers of Columbians

old thread

Which Bowtie and Applejack are you interested in? :) price can vary a lot according to which colour variant you are after ^.^

2012 is a while ago, I'd have to check to see where prices are at now. Prices do fluctuate :) the market changes, demand changes, certain ponies are harder to find or more sought after. This all affects a pony's value :)

I can tell you bad condition bluebelles and blossoms show up in the $80 to 150 range about once a month,  good condition ones seem to be $150 to 400, with the harder to find color combos being at the high end.

I dont see bowtie and applejacks as much anymore, but i would guess similar price ranges?

Too many Bow Ties
the light/cream colors ones with peach/pink hair, yellow hair, and orange/peach hair
the blue/green body ones with light color hair and purple hair
the lt blue body with white hair
purple body with purple/pink hair
pink body with yellow hair

and all of the Applejacks...   :inlove:

Good news for my pocketbook is that they are not currently popping up for sale (except for one that got me all started on this)  I think I would like to focus on getting 1 or 2 a year (don't even know if that is physically possible) but would not be able to buy/afford any other ponies

@lunar_scythe if these prices transfer over to the Bow Ties and Applejacks of Columbia, this collection would be doable over a period of several years.  Availability then becomes the problem.  But isn't pony collecting a journey, not a destination?   :rainbow:

I'll start with the Bow Ties, I've had a look back and struggled to find prices

the light/cream colors ones with peach/pink hair $300
yellow hair ?
orange/peach hair $300
the blue/green body ones with light color hair $400
The blue/green one with and purple hair ?
the lt blue body with white hair $250?
purple body with purple/pink hair ?
pink body with yellow hair $100 plus

ahh, thank you miss pkw.  Those price quotes are not quite as daunting as I imagined.  Now I just need to stalk the nirvana thread, with plans not to buy until next year  :pout:

You are most welcome ^.^

My research lead me to find more Applejacks than Bowties! I always thought AJ was harder to find?

Stalking is a good idea! You may get them for less, Ember1 has/had a yellow Bowtie for sale at $50, but she is in poor condition.

You never know what the market is going to do!
