Nothing will ever compare to those beautiful brushable G3's we had but I do think this set is pretty cool! I like discord and I think their friendship is cute. Will display, in the box.

Loved and now very much miss those beautiful arty G3s. Glad I didn't spring for the exclusive this year, but the kid, being a huge fan of Discord, is super happy about his ticket package including it.

Can I just have Discord?

Yep, and for 1/2 the price.  The exact same Discord figure (but with slightly different eyes) will be on TRU and other shelves very soon for about $25.

My guess is that they are going to hit after the SDCC so more people will be willing to pay $50 for the exclusive packaging and bonus Fluttershy.

For once, I will not be getting the exclusive. $25 is a lot to pay for a box when I debox anyway.  And the poseable Fluttershy, which will no doubt also be released in some other form, does not make the set worth $50.

and apparently the single Discord, boxed, is already available on amazon dot com. REALLY? :-/

When I looked it said "only 5 left" so yeah, probably sold out.

I have to agree with you on those Beautiful G3 ponies that where out! Made it even more worth it to go to a pony fair. The ones that last few years are sad
 I have been selling off most of my G4 ponies cause they just don't do it for me. I had a hard time getting into them and now that I see the same ones over and over I have had enough. They just look to much like deer to me.

I'm curios to find out if the Fluttershy is actually going to be an exclusive or if she will be released later as part of the Guardians of Harmony line. If Hasbro reps are there we should as them and share our knowledge here.

I am curious to know that too- but it does seem VERY unlikely they are not planning to keep the Fluttershy figure for just this set.  Especially when she is almost an "accessory" in this set.

My guess is that she will come out with some kind of accessories like the rest of the Guardians of Harmony toys later, but I suppose it is possible she is exclusive.

I wonder if the Hasbro people will even know?
